Metrologist
Seeking a Quality Control Metrologist who will assist in maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment (includes calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, qualification, etc) and completes all documentation required by internal SOPs and FDA regulations.  Helps coordinate calibration services performed by outside vendors.  Writes calibration procedures for instruments and laboratory equipment.  Degree in Metrology, Chemistry, Engineering or similar discipline with 1-2yrs experience preferred. Practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Position is part time (20 to 30hrs) with the possibility for full time employment.

HPLC Chemist  (2 positions, 1 2nd Shift)
Quality Chemical Laboratories, a contract pharmaceutical testing firm in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a qualified individual for the position of HPLC Chemist.  The ideal candidate should have at least a 2 year degree in Chemistry or other related science and should be able to perform established chromatographic methods on excipients, stability samples, and finished products in a GMP laboratory under direct supervision.  The individual should also be able to perform limited development and validation studies, able to work with a group as well as individually, and maintain accurate and organized documentation of analyses.  Interested candidates should fax resumes to Human Resources (910) 796-3441.  Please specify whether you are interested in a 1st or 2nd Shift position.


Chemist II (HPLC or GC Development and Validation)
Seeking highly motivated chemist to perform HPLC or GC method development/ validation, compendial QC release and stability testing. Must be able to work in a GMP environment, would perform analytical validations, write validation protocols, and write technical reports. Will be responsible for project management and direct communication with client contacts. Requires outstanding writing, documentation and organizational skills. A minimum 3 years HPLC or GC validation experience preferred. Experience with FDA, USP, and ICH guidelines is preferred but not required. Minimum of B.S. Chemistry or other related field is required. Seeking a highly motivated Pharmaceutical Scientist to start-up a formulation development laboratory. Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently from concept to product prototype. The successful candidate will preferably possess an advanced degree and 3-5 years of formulation development experience. Familiarity with analytical techniques, regulatory requirements and GMP manufacturing is preferred.

GMP Reviewer

Quality Chemical Laboratories, a contract pharmaceutical testing firm in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a qualified individual for the position of entry level GMP Reviewer. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of an Associate degree in a scientific discipline and at least 1 year experience in a GMP laboratory. The individual will perform GMP review of routine laboratory projects involving chromatography, dissolution and wet chemistry, perform daily laboratory audits as well as assist with quarterly and yearly internal audits, and review calibration and preventative maintenance records.
